It seems that the "Chef Boyardee" brand was really based on a real person. Chef Ettore "Hector" Boiardi's spaghetti sauce was so popular that restaurant patrons wanted to take it home with them, so he created what he called the Chef Boy-Ar-Dee brand to sell it, giving joy to kids from then on.
